Knight

The Knight is a low-cost melee frontline unit known for his durability. With high base HP, moderate attack speed, and decent single-target damage, he serves as a solid shield for more fragile troops. Despite having no special ability of his own, the Knight gains immense value through synergy with traits like Juggernaut and Noble, making him a staple pick for budget-friendly or merge-focused builds.

Strengths

  • Very low Elixir cost makes him easy to cycle and merge up.
  • High base HP allows him to soak early-game damage reliably.
  • Strong synergy with Spirit Empress for Elixir economy.
  • Activates Juggernaut shield for himself and allies.
  • Control immunity when shielded—counters stuns, dashes, jumps.
  • Enables Noble frontline synergy for extra durability and damage.

Weaknesses

  • No active or passive ability—pure stat-based value.
  • Vulnerable to area damage when stacked with other tanks.
  • Doesn’t scale as well in damage at higher Star Levels.
  • Can be outclassed by more complex frontline troops in late-game.

Strategy Guide

1. Frontline Fodder with Purpose

Even though the Knight lacks flashy mechanics, his tankiness and low cost make him an ideal early-game frontline unit. Deploy him early to absorb pressure and create time for your ranged or ability-based troops to scale. He is expendable, but in numbers, he becomes more of a threat than most players expect.

2. Abuse the 2 Elixir Cost

At just 2 Golden Elixir, you can flood the board with Knights and merge them quickly for higher-star versions. This works perfectly with rulers like Spirit Empress, who refunds Elixir on merges. A few early merges can give you high-star Knights that rival even mid-cost tanks.

3. Activate Juggernaut Early

Knight gains Juggernaut trait bonuses, meaning:

  • At 2 Juggernauts: He gives a shield to himself and one troop behind him.
  • At 4 Juggernauts: The shield spreads to two troops behind, and they all become immune to control effects.

This makes the Knight a cheap and efficient way to grant control immunity and absorb burst damage from spells or assassins. It’s highly effective against decks that rely on troops like Electro Wizard, Bandit, or Mega Knight.

4. Perfect with Valkyrie for Early Shield

If you want to activate Juggernaut early without over-committing, pairing Knight with Valkyrie is ideal. Both are cheap Elixir-wise, and once on the field together, they instantly grant shields. This helps in snowballing control of the board early.

5. Positioning Matters

To maximize the Juggernaut shield’s value, place Knight in the third row, directly in front of ranged backliners. This ensures they receive the shield and control immunity. Troops like Princess, Musketeer, or Spirit Empress benefit greatly from this defensive buffer.

Avoid placing multiple tanks next to each other unless necessary. Doing so risks getting hit by AoE troops like Executioner, Wizard, or Baby Dragon, which can punish stacked units.

6. Activating Noble with Knight

While Knight alone doesn’t deal massive damage, he contributes to Noble synergy, which grants a damage boost to frontline Noble units. You can activate Noble by:

  • Pairing him with Princess – helps her ramp up attack speed while getting Noble bonus damage.
  • Pairing with Musketeer – combines Noble’s frontline tanking with Blaster trait knockback for added CC and burst damage.
  • If you’re not running a full Noble build, just deploying Knight + Princess can be enough to get early value.
